In the past we have recommended using a User Account on the service. However, we have tested and had no issues running the RFMSDataEndpoint (or MeasureOrderEntry) Service in the following scenarios:
- Using Local Service Account on the server and adding the local service account to have full rights to the RFMS Folder and RFMS Attachment Sub Folder
- Using Local Network Service Account on the server and adding the network service account to have full rights to the RFMS Folder and RFMS Attachment Sub Folder
- Using Local Limited User Account on the server and adding the local limited user account to have full rights to the RFMS Folder and RFMS Attachment Sub Folder
- Using Local Admin User Account on the server and adding the local admin user account to have full rights to the RFMS Folder and RFMS Attachment Sub Folder
Note: We have found that when using the Local Service Account and Network Service Accounts the issues during reboots with services not launching has reduced greatly. These are also going to be more secure ways for the service to start. As always, we recommend consulting with your Local IT Professional regarding which option is best for your Environment.
