General Features - Displaying Data

All RFMS programs are a database type of application.  That means that a collection of data is maintained in electronic files.  The purpose of database applications is to enter information and then display that information in a variety of ways.  For example, the roll inventory file is a database file. The records may be viewed in that file on the roll inventory display screen.  While viewing those records, the option of changing the sort order is available, moving from one record to the next, jumping to the last record, etc.  Every display screen in RFMS programs will employ the same techniques for moving around and displaying records.
