Automatically Resolve Buy In Quantities and Sell In Quantities - System Options

Type- Can be Global, Assigned, or User

This option refers to the field found on the Product record labeled "Sell In Multiples of."  If a value is entered in that field and a selling amount is entered on the order that does not agree, a warning message will display, allowing the system to round to the next logical selling quantity or override and accept the entry. 

With the system option set to Yes- The quantity automatically rounds to a multiple of the sell in quantity. 

With the system option set  to to No- A message is displayed and the user can override the sell in quantity. 

A.)  The product can be set to force the user to buy in designated quantities but not sell in certain quantities (and vice versa).

B.)  This is helpful when a store has established they will not sell (and can’t buy) a product outside of its normal packaging.  Ex. Ceramic tile is bought and sold by the carton.  So, if a customer decides to have their kitchen installed in ceramic and it takes 100 SF to cover the room, we must buy 7 cartons (if each carton contains 15.5 SF of coverage) to completely cover the room (8.5 SF will be waste).

C.)  This option can greatly reduce the amount of waste that a store incurs from materials being left over from a job and also reduce the chance of being short on materials for a job.

D). The override button can be password protected. 

E).If Allow Billing Quantities is set to Yes, this system option only looks at the Ship Quantity.
