General Features - Reset Window Positions

Utilities > Reset Window Positions

Many of the windows in RFMS can be stretched to make them larger, either taller, wider, or both. Almost all of the windows can be moved to different screen locations. In most cases, RFMS will remember the last position and size next time the window is opened. Sometimes, due to the slip of a mouse, a window can be sized and positioned in such a way that the window is either partially or totally hidden.

Fortunately, RFMS gives two ways to return windows to their original size and position. To reset a single window, simply hold down the Ctrl while closing the window. Next time it opens it will once again appear in its initial location and size. If the window is off screen and it cannot be closed, the window can be closed by pressing Ctrl+F4. This is a standard Windows key combination for closing a window but, because it uses the Ctrl key, it will also restore the window to its original size and screen position.

To reset the position of all of RFMS windows at once, do the following.

  1. Close all RFMS windows on the workstation - except Order Entry, Inventory or Accounting.
  2. Go to Utilities > Reset Window Positions and follow the on screen instructions
  3. Once you see a box saying "Done!", click OK.
  4.  IMPORTANT: Log completely out of RFMS by going to Navigator > Log Out.

Note: You MUST exit RFMS completely by closing ALL RFMS windows, including Main Navigator, or the process will NOT complete properly and the problem may continue to happen.

  5. When finished, reopen RFMS.
