City from Cities File Only - System Option

Setting this option to yes will force the selection of a city from only the established city list.  The areas affected are: editing the customer name on an order, printing a selected attachment editing a customer name, editing the customer or ship-to information (ProSource), editing a store code, or editing the line ship-to information.

A.)  This creates consistency among orders with how cities are spelled and ensuring that all possible zip codes are recorded (with relevant tax information) for future use.

B.)  Creates efficiency with how orders are placed into the system and does not allow the typing of city information into orders.

C.)  User(s) will need to make sure that they obtain a zip code directory of all zip codes they will perform installation in and enter those before turning this option ON.

D.)  Becomes more important from the Ship-To aspect of an order (tax information) than it does from the Sold-To.

E.)  Creates consistency in reporting information as well.

If City from Cities File Only is set to yes, the zip code field is the only field the user is allowed to edit.

A city can be set up in the City File with only the first three digits of the zip code if many different zip codes exist for that city and the last 2 digits can be added in the order.
