Set Up Global Interface - System Options

 This option sets the system interface options for all screens throughout the system.

 

Toolbar Customization Access

Click the ellipses button to choose the lowest password level or the enterprise manager role needed to make changes to the toolbar. A number cannot be typed in, and it must be chosen from the list. Once a choice is displayed in the field, it cannot be canceled with the cancel button.

Disabled Field Behavior

Check the box to change the disabled fields from being displayed with gray lettering on a white background to black lettering on a gray background.

Required Field Behavior

Mark

Causes required fields to show with a pale red background and black lettering.

Mark Until Filled

Causes required fields to show with a pale red background and black lettering until the information is entered into the field. This is how the system is set to default.

None

Causes required fields to show with white background at all times.

Browse Options

Use Spreadsheet Type Grids

Checking this box will display lines underneath each row of data in a browse.

Browse Row Spacing

Enter, or use the arrows to select a number for the spacing between rows. For spacing like that in the previous version, set this number to 8. Minimum spacing is 8; maximum spacing is 20.

 

 

In case individuals wish to have settings differing from the rest of the users, a user or assigned option is available to override the main settings called Override Global Interface System Options.
