System Option Categories.

Authorization

These options allow users to perform certain functions (editing permissions locking)

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>Order Entry>Order Entry> Allow Editing of Ship To Lines

Configuration

These options set the business rules for the company

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>Order Entry>Order Entry>Automatically Post Estimated Delivery Date in Order Headers and Lines 

Data Transfer

These options set how data in brought into and sent out of RFMS. (Exporting & Importing)

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options> Inventory >Inventory>Post Item Tags to ASCII File

Default Filters

These options set information initially viewed by users.

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>Products>Products>Active Products Only

Default Values

These options set how field information is initially completed

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>System Wide>General>Default Area Code

Display

These options set how users will initially view information (Formatting)

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>Order Entry>Products>Display Active Products

Interface

These options set behavior or interaction between the user and the software (shortcuts)

Example:

  >Utilities>System Options>Order Entry>Order Entry>Order Entry Starting Position

 Prompts

These options set the names of certain fields. Entering user defined prompts as all caps will help distinguish them on reports and screens.

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>Order Entry>Order Entry>Contract Type Prompt

Reporting

These options set how printed documents from RFMS will look.

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>System Wide>General>Use Store Address on Printouts

Required Fields

These options set fields are required for users.

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>Order Entry>Oder Entry>Ad Source Required on Orders

Warning Messages

These options keep users from accidentally entering information.

Example:

 >Utilities>System Options>Order Entry>Oder Entry>Warn User if the Order Line does not have a price.
