Order Entry>Utilities>Set Up>Cutting Table
This selection is designed to work hand in hand with Cutting Machines.
This feature will be available after the System Option>…> Roll Cutting Machine is set. Accu-Cut or E-Z Cut are both compatible.
In order to activate this feature first go to System Option>…>Use Work Orders and set it to yes.. By doing so, the feature works whenever a picking ticket has been run in the RFMS system. RFMS exports cut information into a Cuts.txt file. The cutting table will make its cuts from the information in this file. The Accu-Cut machine will then export results of the cutting operation back into a file called Cuts-Made.txt. At this time, the report can be accessed from the RFMS Order Entry. View past cuts made and sort them by Order Number, Roll Number or Cut Date. Also view all of the following fields for each of the individual "Cuts-Made" entries: Store Number, WO Line, Item Style, Item Color, Item Code, Cut Dye Lot, Request Length, Actual Length, Width, Customer Name, Cut Status, Export, Cancel, Manual, and Delete Message.
Accu-Cut Liaison for Citrix or Terminal Server Environment
The purpose of this program is to allow the Accu-Cut Cutting Table Function to work in a Citrix or Terminal Server environment.
In a LAN environment all workstations have access to read and write from the RFMS directory. As Picking Tickets are printed, a file is posted in the RFMS Directory named CUTS.TXT. The Accu-Cut machine is connected to a workstation on the LAN running the Accu-Cut software. The Accu-Cut software reads CUTS.TXT and purges the information. As the Accu-Cut machine does its work it posts the results to CUTS-MADE.TXT in the RFMS Directory. The next workstation to look at the Cutting Table screen reads information out of CUTS-MADE.TXT and loads the RFMS file.
In a Citrix or Terminal Server environment the Accu-Cut software must be loaded on a local workstation. It can only read and write to a local drive. Citrix allows information to be read and written to a workstation's C: drive by using the special drive letter of V:. This is where the Accu-Cut Liaison for Citrix (ALC) comes into play. ALC is loaded in the RFMS Directory on the Citrix server. The workstation that has the Accu-Cut machine connected to it is the only workstation that needs to run ALC.
ALC's job is to monitor the RFMS Directory and the Accu-Cut Directory and transfer information between them as needed. Any workstation printing a Picking Ticket from Order Entry will post its cuts to "RFMS Directory\CUTS.TXT" file. ALC will locate the new posting and move it to the local "Accu-Cut Directory\CUTS.TXT" file. If there is already a CUTS.TXT, ALC adds the new postings to the existing one, awaiting the Accu-Cut machine to process the cuts. Once the Accu-Cut machine makes its cuts, it posts the results in the local "Accu-Cut Directory\CUTS-MADE.TXT" file. ALC acknowledges the entries in the local Accu-Cut Directory\CUTS-MADE.TXT file and then moves them to the "RFMS Directory\CUTS-MADE.TXT" file. If a CUTS-MADE.TXT file previously exists, ALC adds the new postings to the existing one, awaiting Order Entry to insert these posting into an RFMS file. When ALC is loaded, the following screen will appear.
RFMS Directory
This field describes the location of all RFMS files.
Accu-Cut Directory
This field describes the directory on the workstation V:-, or local C:- Drive. This location is where all the Accu-Cut files are transferred.
Process Files Every __ Seconds
This option allows processing the Accu-Cut files by user-defined increments of time. Choose a value from 1 to 60 seconds. If no selection is made, it will default to 60.
Minimize on Start
This option instructs ALC to minimize itself once the "Start Processing" button is pressed.
Once satisfied with the operation of ALC, it can be placed in the workstation’s Start Up code with a command line parameter of Auto Start. Start ALC and shut it down automatically, on a daily basis, as part of the workstation’s Operating System.
Clearing Cutting Table
Order Entry>File>Cutting Table>Clear button
Once the entries have been reviewed choose to clear them from the system.
Click the Eraser button on the right hand side of the tool bar.
Enter a date. Doing so will clear all entries prior to that date.
Only entries prior to the first day of the current month can be cleared.
The Accu-Cut Process
An Accu-Cut machine that will take advantage of this feature is required.
The Accu-Cut machine must have a computer attached with access to their RFMS Directory.
Select Accu-Cut as the Cutting Machine.(Miscellaneous>Public)
Work Orders must be enabled System Option>…>Use Work Orders
With the Accu-Cut switch set, whenever you print a picking ticket, for rolls being cut on that Picking Ticket, RFMS will post the cuts from to a Work Order file to a file named CUTS.TXT.
Whenever the warehouse uses the Accu-Cut machine to make cuts, the Accu-Cut software is used to get the current Cuts from CUTS.TXT.
The cuts are made using bar code scanning.
Once the cuts are made, the Accu-Cut software posts the results (Successful, Unsuccessful, etc) back to a file in the RFMS Directory named CUTS-MADE.TXT.
When a Cutting Machine (like Accu-Cut) is enabled, a selection is created in Order Entry/ File / Cutting Table.
When you run Order Entry, the information in CUTS-MADE.TXT is brought into an RFMS Pervasive file, where the information can be viewed and old information can be cleared.
