The Line Information section displays item-level details for all transactions entered in Quotes, Customer Orders, and Claims. Each line represents a product or service being estimated, sold, or adjusted.
Most fields and toolbar actions are shared across these record types, though some are specific to Orders or Claims. This reference defines each field and notes where its behavior differs.
Overview of the Line Area
The Line Information grid appears on the lower half of the Quote, Order, or Claim screen.
It includes the following components:
- a. Tabs: Sort grid information.
- b. Grid: Columns showing product, quantity, cost, price, and other values.
- c. Totals Bar: Displays extended totals, taxes, and margin information.
- d. Toolbar: Buttons for inserting, changing, deleting, or managing lines.
