NHMS - Duplicate Project Versions

The duplicating screen has four tabs which offer duplicating choices as follows:

Entire Pricing Version:

Select the version you'd like to duplicate, choose the Project Overview and  Pricing Version.

Select the destination Project Overview from the dropdown menu.  Type in a Version Name (use a name that will help remember the reason for the creation of this version).

Click  to copy.

Plans & Takeoffs:

Select the Project Overview, Pricing Version, and Plan from the dropdown menu.  

Select the destination Project Overview and Pricing Version  from the dropdown menu.  Type in a name for the new Plan. 

Be sure the checkboxes for Flooring, Options, and Windows takeoffs are set.  FBA and OBI pricing will be copied with the plan as long as the corresponding takeoffs are copied.  Keep in mind that the standard category for the takeoffs must be the names of existing categories in the project.

Product Categories & Specifications:

Select the Overview and Version to copy.  

Select the destination Overview and Version.  Check the Flooring, Options, and Windows boxes as appropriate.

Product Specifications Only:

Select Flooring or Options as the Category Type.  

Select the Overview, Version, and Category.

Choose the destination  Category Type, Project Overview, Pricing Version and Category.

If copying to a new Project Overview with different tax settings, a dialog box will ask about changing Totals (product sell prices) or GP%’s (which will back you into sell prices automatically, it will leave product or group totals untouched) for pricing that will change because of tax changes.  

If there is another category in the destination version with the same name, the category will not copy.
