Full Quotes User Guide

The first screen that appears in the Quotes module is the Quotes Browse screen.  From here, search for existing quotes, add new quotes, enter notes, attach files, print quotes and finally, export a quote to Order Entry.

Mail Options

Send RFMS Internal mail or email in reference to the highlighted record.

Tracking

Click to view the tracking record created for every record insert made into Orders, Quotes and Bid Pro Estimates. If gray, no records are present.

 

Exit

Exits the Quotes module.

 

Help

Displays the on-line help system for the current screen.

 

Select

Activates or selects the highlighted record.

 

Insert

Adds a new quote.

 

Edit

Allows changes to an existing quote.

Editing an exported quote is not allowed without clearing the export date.

Clearing the export date removes the link between the quote and the exported customer order.

 

Delete

Deletes the highlighted quote. 

 

 View Lines

Shows the lines for the highlighted quote.

 

Notes

Add, edit or delete notes for the highlighted quote.

 

Export

Exports the highlighted quote to Order Entry and creates a customer order.

 

Append

Attach quote lines to a specific existing customer order in the Order Entry module.

 

Related

Quote

Indicates the highlighted quote is part of a group or related quotes.

 

Print

 Prints the highlighted quote.

 

Word Merge

Creates a Word Merge Document

 

Return Sample

Allows scanning the barcode on a sample to mark the sample as returned.

 

Sample Status Report

Prints a report that shows the status of samples according to various parameters.

 

Copy Quotes

This option allows making a copy of the highlighted quote.

 

Attachments

Allows adding, changing or deleting files to the highlighted quote.

 

Find

Use to do a specific or detailed search

 

Refresh

Resets a filter.
