If this option is set to yes, records display the supplier's name and description from the data file.
A.) By design, RFMS will only show the Private Supplier for all goods entered into inventory. This is shown through Order Entry, File, Roll and Item Inventory. Of course, through the inventory module a person can see the actual supplier that the store gets its goods from.
B.) This option may be turned OFF to prevent a private labeling operation (Carpet One, Abbey, etc.) and its salespeople from viewing who it is that the store actually buys its product from.
C.) This is done to prevent salespeople calling and obtaining cost for products being sold when their entire earnings are based upon gross profit. Also, the salespeople would not be allowed to see cost for this very reason and are given the price points to which they can sell each and every product (depending on what type of client the sale is being made to).
