Error 1069 when trying to start the SQL Service

Error:Error 1069 when trying to start the SQL Service

Cause:The SQL Service can use the credentials of an NT/2000 user account or localsystem account. This error indicates that the SQL Service is set up to use the User Credentials and the password has either changed that the SQL Service is using or corrupted.

Solution:

1. Go to control panel - administrator tools - services

2. Choose the mssqlserver service or SQL Service used and then choose startup. Check what NT account is being   used. Make sure that the password is correct and check with NT user manager that the account has not been deleted or expired.

If the account details seem ok and still doesnt work, then try using the local system account. If this works then there is something wrong with the account SQL was trying to use, consult with your local IT Professional
