Access Code Accessibility Changes

Access codes are secured tools to allow the direct manipulation of data. They should be highly restricted and used only when no other method of adjusting data can be used. If a user is given access code privileges, it should be understood that:

  • Access codes are utilized to circumvent standard accounting and security protocols.
  • An access code authorized user can add additional access code authorized users.
  • An access code authorized user can remove other access code authorized users.
  • RFMS tracks the issuance of access codes but in no way can determine the ultimate use of the access code.
  • RFMS will not make global changes to authorized access code users. (“Set everyone but Bill as an access code user").

 

 

To make changes to authorized access code users in a company, one of two methods is used:

1) An existing access code enabled user may create a ticket and request additions or removals.

2) A signed document can be submitted on a ticket. The format for this letter should be as follows:

To: RFMS Help Desk

From: (Authorized Company Representative Full Name)

Date: (Current Date)

The following user(s) is authorized to receive access codes from the RFMS Help Desk and online portal. I understand that:

  • Access codes are utilized to circumvent standard accounting and security protocols.
  • An access code authorized user can add additional access code authorized users.
  • An access code authorized user can remove other access code authorized users.
  • RFMS tracks the issuance of access codes but in no way can determine the ultimate use of the access code.
  • RFMS will not make global changes to authorized access code users. (“Set everyone but Bill as an access code user").
