Prevent the Server Name and Database Name Box from coming up on workstations

Error:

Cause:

The reason this happens is either due to

1.  A Blank 'Start In' Line on the icon properties

2.  Incorrect permissions to the Security Tab or Sharing Tab of the RFMS Folder.

Solution:

1.  Check the Start In Path on the RFMS Icon
     a.  Right click on the RFMS Icon
     b.  Click on Properties
     c.  Click on the Shortcut Tab

shortcut

NOTE: If the 'Start In' line is blank fill this out.  It should contain the drive letter and path of the RFMS Program.  In our example above our drive letter is mapped directly to the RFMS Folder to the 'Start In' line just needs r:\, which is the RFMS Drive Letter.  If the 'Start In' Line is not blank, proceed to step 2.

2.  Check the Permissions on the Security Tab and Sharing Tab
     a.  Make sure user has full rights to the RFMS Folder under Sharing
     b.  Make sure user has full rights to the RFMS Folder under Security

NOTE: If unsure on how to do this, consult your local IT Professional
