When setting up the plan with the standard products, Measure shows the following numbers for carpet. These numbers are based on the fact that all the areas are going to be installed with the same carpet. The total carpet number then gets distributed over the rooms based on the measure cuts.
When the export happens over to NHMS, these numbers are not used. The export actually goes through and calculates how much of a given product would be needed for installation in a room if no other room was going to use that product. See the example below where a put carpet in the Den/Office/Bed 5. NHMS needs these numbers to start with.
The actual carpet 12' takeoff for this area is 16.23. This gets rounded up to 17 SY based on the round to the nearest 3" for LF setting.
