ACH
Automated Clearing House - A service provided by certain financial institutions whereby customers of the financial institution can generate EFT authorizations and submit them electronically. The ACH will resolve the EFTs with the RDFI.
EFT
Electronic Funds Transfer - The process of moving monies in and out of accounts using a computer and a modem.
RDFI
Receiving Depository Financial Institution - The financial institution into which funds are deposited in an EFT transaction. The availability of the funds to the recipient is based on the funds availability rules of the RDFI.
NACHA
Format of the file created by RFMS which is compliant with the RDFI (National Automated Clearing House Association
