Details:
BCOE Version 10.5.4, the year-end release for 2009, features significant tightening of date controls for ERRM to prevent the client from creating an out-of-balance Journal by, for instance, Job Costing an Order before the Inventory for the Order is invoiced. The following are changes to BCOE:
• Billing - Only Payments received on or before the Bill Date will be debited from Customer Deposits, Payments received after the Bill Date will be debited from A/R.
• Delivery Ticket - Note added to inform user that the ensuing Booking / Job Cost Dates cannot be before the Delivery Ticket Date
• ERRM Booking / Job Cost - The Transaction Date for both these processes cannot be before (1) Delivery Ticket Date and (2) latest Installation Date for Providers associated with Order.
• Job Cost
o The Transaction Date cannot be before the latest Invoice Date for Inventory associated with the Order (ERRM & non-ERRM).
o The Transaction Date cannot be before the Billing Date
• Job Close - The Transaction Date cannot be before the Billing Date
Because BCOE allowed out-of-order dates to be input, some clients' data contains date inconsistencies that may need to be addressed with Journal adjustments, or un-Job Costing and re-Job Costing. The ERRM Date Inconsistencies Report is a standalone executable designed to show these inconsistencies so they can be corrected. This report tests for the above conditions and reports problems encountered.
