This is for Non-ERRM users.
In Order Entry, there is a system option called Allow Billed Not Shipped ( Job Costing Available Before All Lines Delivered). If this is set to Yes, it allows the user to job cost orders where the material is still in the warehouse and not installed yet.
Billed not shipped will create an AR, and post to the GL at the end of month even though the job has not actually been completed. This is how it works:
Step #1 Set the System Option "Allow Billed Not Shipped (Job Costing Available Before All Lines Delivered)" to Yes
Job costing & Express Checkout screen:
On these screens a check box appears (only if this option is set in System Options) that verifies that the feature is enabled. During the job cost or checkout process, all customer order lines that are not already delivered (status = delivered or job costed) will be flagged for later delivery. Meaning a picking ticket can be printed later, even though the order is job costed.
Step #2 Looking at the Customer Order Lines:
If this feature has been implemented, a column will display on the far left and will indicate whether the line has been "shipped" or not.
If an order is not job costed, then lines with a Delivered or Job costed status will show as Shipped.
If an order is job costed WITHOUT the Billed Not Shipped feature, then all lines will show as Shipped.
If an order is job costed WITH the Billed Not Shipped feature, all lines will show appropriately.
If an order is un-job costed, all Bill Not shipped statuses will be removed.
Step #3 Picking Ticket
If a picking ticket is printed AFTER the order has been job costed with the Billed Not Shipped feature, some different options are available:
If the picking ticket is selected after job costing, only the supplier name can be printed. (Print Customer Lines Only and Print Service Lines are suppressed). A blue message will be displayed on the Picking Ticket Options screen that indicates that Billed Not Shipped is activated.
A selection box appears containing all customer lines on the order that are "unshipped". Tag the desired lines to print on the picking ticket and mark as "shipped".
When a Billed Not Shipped line is printed on a picking ticket, the status will display as "Billed".
Once all lines have been "shipped", the picking ticket will revert to the normal method.
