Is There a Maximum Size for Notes?

There is no real maximum.  A note is a short comment on or explanation. Notes in RFMS can be attached to many different type records. The same note processor is used throughout the RFMS system. In many parts of the system notes can be printed but notes are not always in places where it is logical print them. To accommodate those areas where a note is for internal information, it is possible to type more information into a note than can be printed.

The notes function in RFMS is not a true word processor but to help understand the printing of notes, think of the printable area of a note like a text box in a document. There is a definite view-able area, you can keep typing in the text box, but not everything you type can be viewed. How much can be seen depends on the size of the font, the amount of white space included ie returns and spaces. Also like a text box, a note is considered a single unit it must be able to print in entirety on a single page.
