This tool will compute a selling price based on a user-defined formula.
Click open parentheses if needed, then click a button to choose a variable.
After choosing a variable name, be sure to enter the mathematical operator needed (+ - / *), then close parentheses. For example: (GROSS COST + FREIGHT)/.60
The above formula will take the gross cost of the material, add the freight amount and figure a 40% margin.
After the formula has been entered, choose the type of rounding desired:
• Actual: Will return the computed result of the formula
• Rounding: Select one of three available rounding options.
• To round to the nearest 49 cents, enter .49-.49. For rounding to the nearest 99 cents, enter .99-.99. Any combination of rounding from low to high is acceptable (.49-.79).
Click calculate to obtain a dollar amount which will automatically fill the unit price field.
