Taking Payment with Cyncly Pay

 

When taking a credit card payment with Cyncly Pay there are few different methods you can use. If you are are taking a payment in Core be sure you are using a desktop compatible terminal. Please see the article What Point of Sale Terminals Can I Use with Cyncly Pay? for more information.

Core Order Entry: Card Present

How To:

  1. Locate the order in the Order Entry.
  2. Click the payment button in the toolbar.
  3. In the card box enter the amount to charge to the card. You do not need to select the receipt register. Then click OK.
  4. Next, Cyncly Pay is selected in the Payment Method window, then click OK.
  5. The Cyncly Pay window will then launch in your browser.
  6. Select a terminal from the dropdown box at the top of the window then click Send to Terminal.
  7. Follow the instructions and prompts on your terminal and the payment will be processed.
  8. After the payment is complete click OK, the browser will close you will return to Order Entry. From here you have the option to print a receipt or exit.
Core Order Entry: Card Not Present

How To:

  1. Locate the order in the Order Entry.
  2. Click the payment button in the toolbar.
  3. In the card box enter the amount to charge to the card, then click OK.
  4. Next, Cyncly Pay is selected in the Payment Method window, then click OK.
  5. The Cyncly Pay window will then launch in your browser.
  6. At the top of the screen, you can choose to process this payment using a terminal or card, choose the card option when no card is present.

  7. You can use a previously stored card that the customer has on account or choose to type in a card number. (If a customer does not have a card on account, there will be no card shown.)

  8. Once the card information is typed in, including CVV and zip code, click Pay, to process the payment.

  9. Once the payment is complete click OK to exit the Cyncly pay window.

  10. You are then returned to Order Entry, where you can then print the receipt for your customer.

Core Order Entry: My Flooring Link

How To:

  1. Locate the order in Order Entry.
  2. Select the My Flooring Link button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen in Order Entry
  3. The My Flooring Link customization screen will open in your web browser.
  4. Configure the document and select Share to send a link of the document to your customer.
  5. You will receive notice when the customer has viewed, approved, authorized, and/or made payment.

 Tips:

RFMS Mobile: Card Present

How To:

  1. Locate and open the order.
  2. Select the Payment button.
  3. Enter the amount to be paid, choose the Pay by Card option, and click Collect.
  4. In the Cyncly Pay window select the option for Payment Terminal in the upper left corner. Then, select which terminal to use (if you have more than one).
  5. Click Send to Terminal and follow the prompts given.
  6. A message will appear letting you know that the payment was successful. Click OK then Done to return to RFMS Mobile.
  7. The balance due will be updated and a message will come up letting you know that payment has been posted to the store.
RFMS Mobile: Card Not Present

How To:

  1. Locate and open the order.
  2. Select the Payment button.
  3. Enter the amount to be paid, choose the Pay by Card option, and click Collect.
  4. In the Cyncly Pay window select the option for Card in the upper left corner.
  5. Select a saved card or enter information for a new card. (The option to save this new card is underneath.)
  6. A message will appear letting you know that the payment was successful. Click Done to return to RFMS Mobile.
  7. The balance due will be updated and a message will come up letting you know that payment has been posted to the store.
RFMS Mobile: My Flooring Link

How To:

  1. Locate and open the order.
  2. Select the Share button.
  3. Customize the My Flooring Link document. Be sure to check the option for Request Payment.
  4. Select Share in the top right corner. You can choose to Email the link directly through RFMS Mobile or copy the link and send via another method.
  5. The customer will complete payment on their device when they open the link.
  6. You will receive a notification when a payment has been made.
