Accounting>Utilities>Maintenance>Purge PDF History
Documents saved to PDF History are stored as records in the RFMS database. Clients who regularly save many documents to their PDF History can see sizable increases in space needed for the RFMS database. A routine to remove PDF History data for a Date Range is available in RFMS to free up hard drive space.
Please note: THIS PROCESS CANNOT BE REVERSED
- Go to: Accounting > Utilities > Maintenance > Purge PDF History
- Use the F8 key to choose a date from the calendar (note: all records created BEFORE the date selected will be purged).
- Choose the type of pdf records to purge by using the down arrow to bring up the list.
RFMS Recommends:
- Make a full backup of your database before purging.
- If purging several years worth of records, we recommend purging one year at a time, or in smaller increments.
- When purging large amounts of records, run the process after hours.
- If saving documents with logos check the file size of the logo to ensure it is minimally sized. Documents with large logo files will use more space and will cause the database size to grow more quickly than a smaller logo file (follow this link for more information about logo size: Company Logo - System Option).
