Overview:
We’ve identified potential inaccuracies in the Month End Inventory Balance Report for version 24.4.0 and 24.4.1. This issue may impact report accuracy under specific conditions, and we are actively working on a resolution. Below, we outline the causes of the issue and provide guidance on how to address them temporarily.
Identified Issues
-
Costed Record Not Included:
- The report may omit costed records if their date is earlier than the associated new record.
- This discrepancy prevents the report from capturing all relevant data, leading to incomplete balances.
-
Duplicated Cut and Delivered Lines:
- Some transactions with "Cut and Delivered" lines are being duplicated, causing overstated totals in the report.
-
NEW Issue 24.4.1 - Uncosted Record Cost Value Reflects Current Cost (vs. Received Cost) if Cost was Edited after Report Date:
- The report shows the current cost of the Inventory record if the report is backdated to a month when the record was uncosted but then cost was edited after that date. (For example, Report is generated with 09/24 date, the record was received in 09/24 and costed at a different cost, or the cost was edited after 09/24. This would not impact records when the cost remains the same from date of receiving to current.)
Who is Affected? This issue impacts users running version 24.4.0. (3. 24.4.1 Users based on specific criteria.)
Next Steps
Our development team has investigated these issues and prioritized a fix in upcoming releases.
- Please reach out to the Support Team for a file to correct the issues in if you are using version 24.4.0 or 24.4.1.
- Please coordinate with your IT team or administrator to plan your update to version 24.4.1, expected to be released 02/03/25.
In the meantime, we recommend the following:
-
Manually Cross-Check Records:
- Compare the costed records and new records to ensure all expected data is included.
- Verify and adjust for any duplicated lines in the report totals.
-
Use an Alternative Report or Export Data:
- If necessary, use alternate reports or export data for manual analysis to ensure accuracy.
