This is an up to date and complete list of known issues as well as their resolutions. If no resolution has been enacted the notice will read TBD. Not all issues will have a work around or a user fix. There may be the need to wait for the next version update to resolve an issue.

ATTENTION:  Please check your Windows Operating System before installing updates. 

Windows Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2 are NOT compatible with RFMS starting with version 25.2 and higher.

The Payroll Update 25.99 will enable automatic overtime reporting in Box 14; but the update to 25.99 it is not required to generate USA year-end forms or remain compliant for 2025 for those using version 23.99 or higher. Version 25.1 introduced a change in the behavior surrounding Zero Available Inventory

The Display Zero Available Inventory system option directly affects how Smart Search results are returned, independently of using the Binoculars/Filter feature; only generating results containing zero available records when this system option is set to Yes.

Previously, users could perform a Smart Search, then select the Binoculars/Filter and check “Display Zero Available” without entering additional criteria, and the system would display all results matching the Smart Search entry. While this was preferred by many RFMS Core users, it caused issues with how records were displayed in the RFMS Mobile application.

When our Development Team reviewed the code, they found that the Smart Search logic was not fully honoring the system option settings. Correcting this inconsistency resolved the mobile display issue but also changed how the feature behaves in the core application.

At this time, reverting the behavior to match previous versions would reintroduce the display problems in the mobile app. Therefore, we recommend either:

  • Using the Binoculars/Filter feature using the Fuzzy Search in the Style or Number field by placing % before and after the data to override the system option setting of No.
Missing Characters During Tricoder Data Upload

Some users report missing data/characters when uploading from the Worth Tricoder Model 5101 during a physical inventory count.  

This is due to a Windows update that introduced changes impacting the character count upload speed, which is not supported in the prior model.  

Worth released Tricoder Model 5150 which supports character count upload speed settings and our Development Team has successfully programmed and tested the new models to confirm resolution to the previously reported issues.

  • We have released RFMS Version 25.1.0 as an On-Demand Version rather than a general release as this approach allows you to take advantage of improvements right away, while we continue building additional features that will be included in an upcoming GA release.

  • Hi all! This article has been updated to reflect new information.

    We’re excited that so many of you are looking forward to the upcoming RFMS On-Demand Version 25.2 update! I'd like to clarify that the on-demand version is not yet available but once it is released later this month, we'll post that announcement in this article and that will be the time for Cyncly Hosted customers to submit a support ticket, otherwise you'll receive the automatic update in January as usual.
    To help us prepare for the releases, we kindly ask that you await the announcement that RFMS On-Demand Version 25.2 has been released before submitting a support ticket. Thank you for your understanding and excitement about the updates coming soon!

    This article has been updated with additional information surrounding the Payroll Update (V. 25.99), which is NOT yet available. Please review the article for guidance to generate the 2025 Year-End forms without the 25.99 payroll update and important operating system requirements as Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 are NOT compatible with RFMS starting with version 25.2.

  • Good morning! The server-side publish of year, rates, and e-file occurred on 01/12/2026 allowing generation of W2 and 1099 forms for the 2025 year. Please note, this server-side publish does NOT include the Overtime Wages in Box 14 that is planned for the version 25.99 update. Thank you!

  • Hello, this article has been updated on 01/21/26 to reflect the release of version 25.99.0 but the update is NOT required to generate end of year forms for RFMS Version 23.99 or later.     As a reminder, Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 are not compatible with RFMS and upgrades to meet minimum system specifications should be scheduled prior to updating RFMS.
