Order Entry>Edit>Notes or Notes button note.gif

The choices are:

  • Order Internal
  • Order Custom
  • Work Order Custom
  • View All Notes & Remarks

The view all notes & remarks function is a very helpful tool that shows a consolidated list of all notes from Order Entry, Accounts Payable, and CPM related to a record.

Choose one of the first three options and the Note add/view/edit screen displays.

This screen allows the entry of informational notes.  Notes are printed on various documents throughout the system.

DateStamp.gif Click the date stamp button to automatically enter the date, time and user name in the note pad.  EX: 10/23/09 - 16:31:59: kim

The note entry area works just like a word processor.  The characters will automatically wrap to the next line. Also, the copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) features may be used to save repetitious entry.

After typing in the note, click OK to save the note.  It will remain attached until the note is either changed or erased by clicking the clear button clear.gif.

Click the history button History.gif to view when the note was originally created and when the note was last changed.

Click printer button print.gif to print the notes.

The printable area is limited to 24 lines.
