Credit Card Processors
Choose an option in order for Credit Card Processing Software to operate on this workstation. Remember that this utility must be set on every workstation on which Credit Card Processing Software will be run.
Node Numbers
For each computer that will validate through Order Entry, setup separate node numbers. To discontinue using an integrated credit card processor, change this number to 0.
Mask Card Number
Choosing this option will hide all but the last four digits of credit card numbers.
Merchant Code
The default setup for a single merchant (the only setup Order Entry allowed previous to version 9.0) is as follows clients who are already using ICVerify will automatically get this setting when they load Order Entry, so they will not notice the change until they go to the ICVerify Setup again. If using ICVerify with a single Merchant, leave the Merchant Code as shown above.
"*** Default Merchant ***" simply refers to ICVERIFY.SET. If a workstation will primarily use one of the other sets, they only need to press the ellipsis button and specify the "Merchant Code".
For example, let’s say a workstation should default to ICVE0002.SET, pressing the ellipsis button next to the Default Merchant field produces the following browse.
Note: It is still required that each workstation have its own Node Number regardless of which Merchant Set it is using.
Adjust Merchant During Payment
This option allows the workstation to change Merchant Code "on the fly" during the payment process.
Restrict Refunds (Negative credit payments)
Some clients wish to have only certain users be able to do credit card refunds. Check this box to restrict credit card payments from being negative for this user.
Require Verification Code (CW2/CVC)
Check this box to require that the credit card security code from the back of the card be entered. Including this code may decrease processing fees with some vendors.
Note: If the credit card is denied the payment is not posted.
